AOC Breaktime: Celebrating Accountancy Week

AOC Breaktime: Celebrating Accountancy Week

July 4, 2025 – Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs held its July Breaktime with the theme Accountancy Week Celebration, uniting over 200 team members from 16 offices nationwide. More than just a virtual gathering, it was a meaningful moment to honor the profession’s milestones, embrace new beginnings, and inspire renewed motivation across the AOC family.

To begin the day with a sense of purpose and reflection, a Holy Mass was celebrated by Reverend Father Ogie Orpiada. In his homily, he reflected on the true nature of Christ’s love, genuine, unconditional, and transformative. He also shared a powerful reminder: when our perception of life is clouded by negativity, everything we see will appear negative too. But with Christ’s love as our lens, we can see the beauty in others, in ourselves, and in the world around us.

Following this, Marvin Cadapan extended a warm and gracious welcome to all attendees, offering heartfelt greetings to the employees. As part of the monthly program, the event included the introduction of new hires, the celebration of July Birthday and the recognition of employees reaching significant milestones to AOC.

As part of the Accountancy Week celebration, Partner In Charge of the new Bataan Branch Carl F. Martos, served as the speaker during Breaktime and delivered a heartfelt message on the importance of rest and reflection. He reminded everyone that amidst the demands of the profession, it is okay to feel tired—it is okay to pause, relax, and reconnect with oneself. Accountancy Week is not just a celebration of the profession but also a gentle reminder that we are only human and need time to reset. He encouraged everyone to find their purpose, as it fuels the motivation to keep moving forward despite challenges and grow both personally and professionally.

In the segment of #AOCWinStories, we proudly highlight five distinguished leaders from Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs who represented the firm at the 2025 BKR Asia Pacific Conference in Bali, Indonesia.
