Strengthening Ties Between AOC and Walker Wayland

Wali Aziz, a Partner and Head of Audit at Walker Wayland NSW (Sydney), a BKR Member in Australia, recently visited Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs. The visit was viewed as a positive step towards building a long-term partnership between the two firms, and both parties expressed a strong interest in continuing the dialogue and exploring more collaboration opportunities in the future.

On January 8, 2024, Donnies T. Alas, the esteemed Founding Partner and Chairman of the firm, accompanied by Ryan A. Sabug, the managing partner, and Wali Aziz, had a golf game held at the picturesque Tagaytay Highlands. Subsequently, on January 9, 2024, a meeting was convened at the City Club Makati, where a comprehensive discussion was held between Wali Aziz and the AOC Makati audit and tax team headed by Loraine S. Sotto, the Audit Partner, and Tax Advisory Services Partner, Fernando O. Santos. The discussion centered around the secondment of the next batch of personnel for the current year.

On the evening preceding Wali’s departure for Australia, the Executive Partners Donnies T. Alas, Marycris S. Oplas and Ryan A. Sabug, convened to celebrate the success of his recent visit at Canton Rest-Shangri-La The Fort, BGC. Additionally, they celebrated Wali’s birthday, accompanied by his wife, Malinda Aziz. Wali’s visit to AOC was fruitful and paved the way for a long-term partnership between the two firms.
