Send off lunch to Secondees to Kansas, USA

August 1, 2023 – Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs bid a warm farewell to their four esteemed secondees, Gerald Gonzalbo, Supervisor of Tax Advisory Services; Princess Villareal, Assistant Manager of Tax Advisory Services; Shantelle Lara, Manager; and Christian Martinez, Senior Manager, both from the Cavite Branch, as they embark on a new journey to Kansas, USA. To commemorate this significant milestone, a heartfelt send-off lunch was organized at the City Club in Makati City.

The send-off lunch was attended by the firm’s esteemed leadership, including Founding Partners Donnies Alas and Marycris Oplas, Chairman and CEO, Senior Partner Glesie Martinez, Tax Partner Fernando Santos, and HR Director Jenny Catapang. Their presence not only symbolized the firm’s support but also served as a gesture of appreciation for the hard work and dedication shown by the secondees during their tenure at Alas Oplas.

Departure of Secondees 

August 4, 2023 – the departure of the four secondees. These dedicated individuals are embarking on an enriching training journey at Mize, CPAs Inc. in Topeka, Kansas, USA, a member firm of BKR International. They will be trained in accounting and taxation as part of the firm’s offshore outsourcing services. The Alas Oplas & Co. CPAs secondment program is designed to enhance exposure to offshore outsourcing and international projects. It promotes greater participation in global initiatives, helping secondees build connections, improve skills, and gain new insights while engaging with other BKR member firms.
