Honoring All Dads at AOC’s June Breaktime

Honoring All Dads at AOC's June Breaktime

Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs officially kicked off its June Breaktime Celebration on June 4, 2025. Bringing together over 190 participants from 16 offices nationwide, the event marked a meaningful occasion to celebrate past milestones and welcome new beginnings. This meaningful virtual gathering served as a moment to reflect on past milestones and embrace new beginnings, all in line with the month’s theme, “All About Him”—a heartfelt tribute to Father’s Day.

To begin the day with a sense of purpose and reflection, a Holy Mass was celebrated by Reverend Father Ogie Orpiada. In his homily, he reflected on the true nature of Christ’s love—genuine, unconditional, and transformative. He reminded everyone that when Jesus loves, it is without limits, and such love has the power to change hearts, communities, and even the world.

Following this, Marvin Cadapan extended a warm and gracious welcome to all attendees, offering heartfelt greetings to the employees. As part of the monthly program, the event included the introduction of new hires, the celebration of June Birthday and recognition of employee milestones.

In the segment of #AOCWinStories, we celebrate a significant milestone with the official opening of the AOC Rizal Province Branch—an exciting expansion that reflects our continued growth and commitment to service. At the forefront of this new chapter is the new Partner-in-Charge, Rizal Province Branch, Danny P. Cero, whose over five decades of leadership are matched by an equally inspiring story of fatherhood. A devoted father to three accomplished children, a doctor and two lawyers. He shared how he balanced fatherhood with a fulfilling career—an inspiring tribute to all AOC dads. He added a fun twist by hosting a short trivia and games segment, including the origin of the word “BREAKTIME,” which was first coined by the HR Team in 2013 to reflect the firm’s culture. Everyone eagerly participated, and the winner shared how the word resonated with their own experiences and feelings.

Capping off the event was the always-anticipated game led by HR team game master, Rogh Barroga. A well-loved song—an all-time favorite among dads—was played, and participants raced to type its title, filling the celebration with laughter, energy, and a strong sense of camaraderie.
