February Breaktime: A Lovely Virtual Celebration at Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs

Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs kicked off February with a lovely Virtual Breaktime Celebration on February 5, 2025. With over 250 attendees from its 13 offices nationwide, the event was a momentous occasion to reflect on past achievements, embrace new beginnings, and foster camaraderie among employees. As the month of love draws near, the celebration shows selflessness and focuses on the love to give back to others.

The celebration began with a solemn Mass officiated by Father Ogie Orpiada, whose homily provided encouragement and emphasized the importance of seeking a meaningful story in everyone’s journey. Following the Mass, the vibrant and energetic host, Mr. Marvin Cadapan, warmly welcomed all attendees, setting an enthusiastic tone for the program ahead. As part of the monthly program, the event included the introduction of new hires, the celebration of February birthdays, and the recognition of employees reaching significant milestones—an expression of gratitude and appreciation for their contributions in making AOC a thriving community.

The AOCWinstories segment featured a heartfelt testimonial from Ashley Marie Rances, Associate from AOC Legazpi Branch, who was honored with the prestigious award as one of the 2024 Outstanding Club for UNESCO Young Professionals. Her innovative community program and exceptional dedication set her apart as one of the top candidates among ten applicants. Her story highlights how even small acts of kindness can foster strong connections and bring positivity into people’s lives. She shared that her advocacy for helping SPED students has the power to change lives and offer support to those who may feel alone in their journey. Through her efforts, she emphasizes the importance of seeing the beauty in the world, with open hearts and a willingness to uplift one another.

The event concluded with a lively icebreaker game led by Rogielyn Barroga, bringing fun and energy to the gathering. The Virtual Breaktime Celebration was more than just an event—it was a reflection of the firm’s achievements, a celebration of milestones, and an opportunity to strengthen bonds among employees.
