Last August 29, 2025, the Makati and Cabanatuan Branch gathered once again for the Monthly Team Breaktime, this time embracing the spirit of Buwan ng Wika. The program highlighted not only our shared culture but also the values of teamwork, learning, and recognition that continue to shape our firm’s identity.
The afternoon began with the Opening Prayer and National Anthem, followed by a warm welcome from the Host Team, who set the tone for an engaging program. Firm updates were then shared, covering notable wins, system updates, and new policies. This was followed by Team Highlights, where new hires were introduced and showcased their talents, along with the much-awaited recognition of this month’s top performers.
The spotlight shone on our Employees of the Month: Luciene Patrice Carpio (Makati Audit), Jacquilyn Corpuz (Makati Audit), and Cianadel S. Tadaman (Cabanatuan Audit).
These individuals embodied the firm’s core values through their dedication, hard work, and consistent excellence. Their recognition serves as a reminder of the impact one’s commitment can have on the entire team.
Other program highlights included Quality Check-Ins and the Learning Byte, where audit teams shared key regulatory and industry updates. The Upcoming Priorities segment also provided visibility on deadlines and events for the next month, ensuring everyone is aligned on firm-wide goals.
Adding a touch of fun, the E-Day Encore segment kept everyone entertained with witty English challenges. This activity stems from our weekly E-Day, observed every Monday, which encourages consistent use of English in chats, meetings, and conversations to build communication confidence in a light and fun way. Team members who slipped into Tagalog embraced the challenge, either through quick performances or spinning the wheel for surprise mini-English tasks, all in good spirit. Right after, the energy continued with games, promoting camaraderie, collaboration, and a healthy sense of competition.
Fittingly for Buwan ng Wika, the breaktime also encouraged the use of Wikang Filipino, reminding everyone of the richness of our language and culture. Even though the breaktimes are held virtually, the team makes sure these moments are not just about pauses from work but also about having fun and staying connected. The August Breaktime not only celebrated Filipino culture but also emphasized the importance of continuous learning, collaboration, and recognition of excellence within the firm.
