BREAKTIME: Celebrating Labor Day and Promoting Sustainability

On May 3, 2024, AOC Breaktime for the month of May celebrated Labor Day, an event organized by the Human Resource/Payroll Team to recognize and acknowledge the hard work, commitment, dedication, and achievements of team members. Employees from the 12 branches attended the breaktime, which was held at the beginning of the month to boost morale and encourage everyone to be their best selves.

The event commenced with an inspiring mass officiated by Father Ogie Orpiada, who delivered uplifting words to enlighten the attendees. Following the mass, event host Marvin Cadapan greeted everyone with a cheerful “Happy Labor Day”. As part of the activities, new hires were introduced, and May birthday celebrants and work anniversaries were recognized, further enhancing the event’s meaningful and lively atmosphere.

In alignment with AOC’s steadfast commitment to environmental protection and sustainability, the Earth Warriors from the Parañaque Branch, through its HR/Payroll Team and Corporate Communication, presented a video showcasing their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices aimed at reducing carbon emissions, a major factor contributing to climate change and global warming. The presentation resonated deeply, inspiring everyone to adopt sustainable practices with the tagline “One AOC. One for the Environment.”

Furthermore, everyone participated in a photo-op session and eventually engaged in the Breaktime Icebreaker facilitated by Rogh Barroga. The AOC Breaktime event for May 2024 was a resounding success, celebrating Labor Day with heartfelt recognition and a strong commitment to sustainability. The event not only uplifted employee morale but also inspired a collective dedication to protecting the environment.
