BREAKTIME: April is ESG & End of Tax Season Month
April 3, 2024, AOC’s Breaktime event for the month of April marked the conclusion of the firm’s Busy Season. This virtual gathering drew the participation of more than 190 employees from 12 branches and was strategically scheduled at the beginning of the month to formally acknowledge and commend the collective dedication and hard work exerted by everyone throughout the firm’s busy season.
The breaktime commenced with a mass led by Ogie Orpiada. Following this, event moderator Aijah Melicha Rosales extended a warm welcome to everyone, with the theme “April is ESG & End of Tax Season Month”. As part of AOC’s unwavering commitment to promoting sustainability, Aijah introduced Mr. Marlon Pareja as the guest speaker for this month’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) series. Mr. Pareja shared his expertise on ESG Management, enriching everyone with valuable insights and inspiring a collective drive to further promote sustainability. His remarks served as a poignant reminder of the pivotal role sustainability plays across various facets of building a well-maintained world, aligning seamlessly with the firm’s core values and principles.
This monthly gathering also provided an opportunity to introduce newly hired employees from the previous month and celebrate the birthdays and work anniversaries of every employee. Furthermore, Managing Partner, Mr. Ryan Sabug, took the stage to share his past experiences during his early days as a young auditor, offering valuable advice and inspiration to all who had persevered during the recently concluded busy season. He concluded his talk with meaningful Bible verses and encouraging words that resonated with everyone present.
As the event concluded, AOC’s CEO, Marycris Oplas, shared company updates and upcoming events. She thanked attendees for their dedication and commitment to excellence. In her signature style, she delivered an inspiring speech, urging everyone to pursue excellence in their fields. Her empowering words left a lasting impact, instilling purpose and motivation in all present.
