BENECO and AOC collaborate on the seminar titled "Risk-Based Internal Auditing
On December 22, 2023, Benguet Electric Cooperative (BENECO) and Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs collaboratively hosted a Seminar on Risk-Based Internal Auditing at the BENECO GPV Building, Sanchez Hall, Baguio City. The seminar aimed to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of risk-based internal auditing.
The seminar was attended by Philip L. Gonzales, Partner at Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs Isabela Branch, Wendell J. Cabson, Internal Audit Manager of BENECO, and the resource speaker, Mr. Jose Ramon T. Villasin, a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor. Mr. Villasin shared his expertise in risk-based internal auditing and emphasized the significance of this approach.
More than 20 participants from BENECO attended the seminar, actively engaging in the discussions and activities during the event. They were given the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and best practices in risk-based internal auditing and the tools and techniques used in conducting risk assessments.
