AOC Sacred Break A Meaningful Pause for the Lenten Season

April 1, 2026 – Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs observed a meaningful pause this April through its Sacred Break: A Lenten Pause, in observance of the Lenten season leading up to Holy Week. The activity invited employees to step away from the demands of work and enter a moment of reflection, prayer, and quiet renewal. It served as a gentle reminder to slow down, realign, and refocus on what truly matters as we prepare our hearts for the season of sacrifice and spiritual renewal.

A solemn Holy Mass celebrated by Reverend Father Ogie Orpiada centered on a thought-provoking message that having the right intention is not enough if the motivation behind it is wrong, reminding everyone that true actions must be grounded in sincerity, purity of purpose, and selfless intent.

The program continued with host Marvin Cadapan extending a warm and gracious welcome all attendees, offering heartfelt greetings to the employees. As part of the monthly program, the event included the introduction of new hires, the celebration of April Birthday and the recognition of employees reaching significant milestones to AOC.

As part of the AOC Celebrate segment, featured video clips centered on faith and the strengthening of spiritual reflection, aiming to encourage deeper understanding and personal connection to the message. Following the viewing, employees actively participated by sharing their reflections and insights on the clips, creating a meaningful and engaging exchange of thoughts. The activity fostered interaction among participants and provided an opportunity to better understand and appreciate everyone’s perspective in life, reinforcing a sense of unity and shared reflection within the group.

To end the Breaktime, HR Vina Flor Cabello facilitated a game called “Show Me What You Got!” Employees took photos and shared them via chat, based on the riddle shown on the monitor, creating a fun and engaging activity for everyone.
