AOC Legazpi and Makati Local Tax Teamwork and Collaboration

May 19-23, 2025 – AOC Legazpi team, led by Partner-In-Charge Nathalie R. Lupango warmly welcomed the members of Makati Local Tax team, headed by Tax Partner Fernando O. Santos, for a week-long engagement. The team members include Gian Sotto, Aimee Bolante, Katherine Abiog, and Claudine Jane Hiban of AOC Legazpi.

The purpose of the visit was to conduct a tax review fieldwork for one of AOC Legazpi’s clients. Over the course of five days, the team worked closely in reviewing and assessing the client’s tax records and compliance. Their engagement procedures included reconciliation, detailed reviews of submitted tax filings and identification and correction of any findings and discrepancies. The initiative allowed them to exchange insights and apply expertise to ensure accurate and complete review of documents.

To conclude the fieldwork, the tax team took a well-deserved break by exploring the tourist destinations in Daraga and Albay. This gathering provided an opportunity for them to unwind, appreciate the local scenery, and strengthen the bonds formed during the week. At the end, the tax team created a meaningful and enjoyable experience.

This collaborative effort between the Makati Local Tax and Legazpi teams reflects AOC’s strong culture of support and partnership. It reinforces unity and camaraderie across branches by laying a solid foundation for future cooperative endeavors.
