AOC Laguna Celebrates Filipino Heritage Through Binalot Day
August 6, 2026 – the AOC Laguna Branch celebrated “Binalot Day” as part of its Buwan ng Wika observance. More than a simple meal shared among employees, the activity served as a celebration of Filipino heritage through one of the country’s most familiar and meaningful food traditions. The binalot—food wrapped in banana leaves—reflects the Filipino appreciation for simplicity, resourcefulness, and the tradition of bringing people together through food.
The celebration also provided employees with an opportunity to reconnect with a distinctly Filipino tradition while enjoying a shared meal in the workplace. On a rainy Thursday, the warmth and comfort of binalot made the gathering even more memorable, highlighting how everyday Filipino customs can create meaningful moments of connection and appreciation for culture. Through activities such as this, AOC Laguna continues to celebrate Filipino identity while fostering camaraderie and a sense of community among its employees.
Through initiatives like this, the branch continues to support a workplace culture that values Filipino heritage and meaningful employee experiences.
