On December 5, 2025, just days after its annual Thanksgiving party, Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs held its final Breaktime for the year, embracing the meaningful theme “Let’s All Be Home, Be One for Christmas.” This special gathering provided employees from various branches a chance to come together, step away from the busyness of work, and reflect on the year’s journey as one united firm.
The event began with a Holy Mass celebrated by Reverend Father Ogie Orpiada. In this Advent season, he reminded everyone of God’s promise to heal and restore His people, and of the faith that moves hearts, renews hope, and prepares us to welcome Christ into our lives. His message resonated deeply, encouraging everyone to embrace gratitude, patience, and compassion as the year draws to a close.
Following this, host Marvin Cadapan extended a warm and gracious welcome to all attendees, offering heartfelt greetings to the employees. As part of the monthly program, the event included the introduction of new hires, the celebration of December Birthday and the recognition of employees reaching significant milestones to AOC.
This spotlight from #AOCWinStories features a video presentation from the BKR Worldwide Conference in Madrid, Spain, showcasing the active participation of AOC leaders—CEO Marycris Oplas, Chairman Donnies Alas, Managing Partner Ryan Sabug, Senior Partner Glesie Martinez, Bulacan Branch Partner-In-Charge Meg Paloyo, and Tax Partner Fernando Santos. After the presentation, Meg shared that while conferences consistently offer valuable learning opportunities, international engagements provide deeper professional growth through exposure to diverse cultures, perspectives, and work environments, emphasizing that in today’s fast-evolving corporate landscape, true growth comes from stepping beyond one’s comfort zone, as every challenge and experience builds stronger, more adaptive, and forward-thinking professionals.
