August 5, 2026 – Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs marked its monthly Breaktime this August in honor of International Youth Day, embracing the spirit of youth, leadership, and possibilities. More than a gathering, it was a moment to reflect on the role of young professionals in shaping the future, reminding us that behind every number, achievement, and milestone are individuals with the courage to learn, the passion to lead, and the vision to make a difference.

A solemn Holy Mass celebrated by Reverend Father Ogie Orpiada centered on breaking barriers through faith, compassion, and dialogue, reminding everyone that the challenges we face whether personal or societal can be overcome by seeking Christ, embracing understanding, and building bridges with one another.

Hosting this Breaktime was Richelyn Catalon of the SF Accounting team. As with the program’s regular segments, she introduced new employees, greeted the August birthday celebrants, and paid tribute to AOC team members for their years of commitment and service to the firm.

In celebration of International Youth Day, AOC’s monthly BreakTime featured the inspiring stories and reflections of young leaders: Shaira Fetizanan from the SF Accounting Team, Kate Clarisse Delantar from the FCIE Branch, Shanen Lorraine Estrella, Jacquilyn Corpuz, and Jeremy Aguada from the Makati Audit Team. They shared their experiences and key takeaways from the BKR Asia Pacific Future Leaders Program 2026 in Phuket, Thailand. Their stories highlighted the importance of stepping beyond one’s comfort zone, embracing change, challenging familiar ways of thinking, and continuously seeking opportunities for growth. Beyond developing leadership skills, the program encouraged them to embrace new perspectives, face challenges with courage, and recognize their role in creating meaningful impact within AOC and beyond.

Following the insightful and meaningful reflection, employees shifted to a series of engaging games and interactive activities that brought energy and excitement to the celebration. Prepared by HR Vina Cabello, the game entitled “Forever Young: Pinoy Street Spotter” challenged employees to guess nostalgic Filipino street games that brought back fond childhood memories. Afterward, the moderator invited employees to share memorable childhood experiences and moments they will never forget, allowing everyone to hear personal and funny stories and reflections that made the celebration even more meaningful and enjoyable.

Overall, the August Breaktime celebration was a meaningful and enjoyable gathering that brought everyone together through shared memories, laughter, and engaging activities. More than just a celebration, it reminded employees to keep the joy, curiosity, and youthful spirit alive while creating lasting moments with one another.
