June 3, 2026 – Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs celebrated its monthly BreakTime this June with a special Father’s Day-themed session entitled “Balancing the Boardroom and the Living Room.” The activity brought employees together in celebration of fathers and father figures within the firm. It served as a meaningful opportunity to recognize their invaluable contributions and reflect on the balance between professional success and family life.
A solemn Holy Mass celebrated by Reverend Father Ogie Orpiada centered on the call to live authentically and embrace the truth. He reminded the faithful that as long as truth remains misunderstood, it will continue to face opposition from darkness, encouraging everyone to remain steadfast in faith and integrity.
The program continued with a warm welcome from host Marvin Cadapan. As part of the monthly gathering, new hires were introduced, June birthday celebrants were recognized, and employees reaching significant milestones with AOC were honored.
As part of the #AOCWinStories segment, Ms. Judy Eala, Ms. Maricar Austria, and Ms. Shantelle Lara share their memorable experience representing AOC at the Annual BKR Asia Pacific Conference held at Vietnam. Through their stories and key takeaways, they highlighted the value of embracing innovation, continuous learning, and staying adaptable in an ever-evolving professional landscape. More than just a glimpse into an international event, their sharing served as a source of inspiration for employees to dream bigger, seize growth opportunities, and strive for excellence in their own careers.
A highlight of the Father’s Day celebration was the meaningful message delivered by Partner In Charge of Laguna Branch Mr. Rodel Bascon, on the theme “Balancing the Boardroom and the Living Room.” Drawing from his personal experiences, he reminded employees to cherish time with their children while they are young, value moments with their parents, prioritize important family occasions, and remember that success is not measured by financial gain alone. His reflections served as a powerful reminder of the importance of balancing career aspirations with the relationships that matter most.
Following the insightful and inspiring discussions on professional growth and the meaningful celebration of Father’s Day, employees shifted from reflection to recreation as they participated in a fun-filled game prepared by Ms. Vina Flor Cabello entitled “GIF It Your All.” The activity brought laughter, excitement, and friendly competition, allowing everyone to unwind while strengthening camaraderie across the firm.
Overall, the June BreakTime brought together faith, appreciation, learning, and fellowship in one meaningful celebration. Through moments of reflection, recognition, shared experiences, and fun, the event reinforced AOC’s commitment to fostering a workplace culture that values both professional excellence and meaningful human connections.
