AOC Cabanatuan Welcomes GJC Faculty for OJT Student Assessment

Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs Cabanatuan Branch recently welcomed a surprise visit from the Accountancy faculty of General De Jesus College to assess the performance of their On-the-Job Training (OJT) students assigned to the firm.

Led by OJT Adviser Allan Reyes and OJT Coordinator Bryan C. Barlis, the faculty observed the interns in their actual work environment. The visit aimed to evaluate not only their technical skills but also their professionalism, time management, and adaptability to the firm’s audit culture.

During the visit, the students were seen performing tasks similar to those of junior associates, such as consolidating working papers, participating in audit discussions, and proofreading financial statements.

A brief meeting followed, during which the firm noted that the interns are well-grounded in accounting principles and are continuously developing their efficiency and time management in handling assigned tasks.

The visitation affirmed that the students are effectively adapting to the demands of public accounting, and the college expressed its intention to continue similar initiatives to ensure quality internship training.
