Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs conducted an extensive three-week firmwide webinar on Audit Methodology, which aimed to improve the skills and knowledge of its employees in conducting audits. The event was attended by more than 170 participants from various branches and teams, who gained insights into the latest methodologies and techniques in auditing. The firm’s dedication to promoting professional growth was evident in its careful monitoring of attendees’ progress throughout the webinar. Ysa Pagud skillfully moderated the session, ensuring all participants were engaged and actively participating.
During the first week of AOC’s firm-wide webinar on audit methodology held on November 9th and 10th, Loraine San Pedro-Sotto, Audit Partner, and Lilibeth Yasay, CPA, Audit Director of the Ortigas branch, shared their expertise in the field of audit during the morning session of the first day focusing on Client Acceptance and Continuance to Pre-Planning. On the second day, Kim Adrian Cruz, Audit Director of the Ortigas branch, along with Krizzelle Brutas and Denver Tabubuca, Audit Managers at the Ortigas branch, shared their expert insights about Pre-planning to Planning.
The second week of AOC’s Firmwide Webinar on Audit Methodology was held on November 16th and 17th. The morning session of the first day had two speakers. First, Lian Seth Santos, Audit and Technical Manager of the Cavite Branch, provided expert insights and practical tips on conducting efficient and effective Fieldwork for audit engagements. Then, in the afternoon session, Allan Quibuyen, Audit Supervisor, at Ortigas Branch, continued with the second part on Fieldwork. The morning session of the second day had two speakers. The first was Jonas Miguel Bravo, Audit Supervisor at Makati Audit team who provided expert insights and knowledge on Fieldwork – Part 2. The next speaker, Dianne Hazel Bonita, Senior Auditor of the Cavite Branch, provided a deeper understanding of inventory count, external confirmation, and other vital aspects of Fieldwork, Part 3.
Finally, on the last week of AOC’s Firmwide Webinar on Audit Methodology held on November 23rd and 24th, Erlyn Grace Adaoag, Audit Supervisor at the Santiago City Branch, was the keynote speaker. She shared her expertise in conducting efficient and effective Fieldwork for Entity-Wide Programmes. On the final day, Maricar Austria, Audit Supervisor at the Makati Audit team, discussed the last part of the Audit Methodology: Completion and Finalization.
The webinar provided an excellent platform for industry experts to exchange ideas and discuss the latest trends and challenges in the accounting field.
