July 8, 2026 — Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs successfully held its Founding Partners Connect 2026, the firm’s annual Staff and Managers Summit, at the Asian Institute of Management Conference Center, Makati City.

The event drew strong participation across the firm, with 192 staff members attending the morning session and 39 managers joining the afternoon session. Founding Partner and CEO Marycris Oplas served as the summit’s main speaker, with HR Managing Director Jenny Catapang moderating a program that was highly interactive and collaborative from start to finish.

Bridging the Generations
The summit opened with a session on generational diversity in the workplace, a timely theme given that roughly 70% of attendees belong to Generation Z. In a lively twist, participants were grouped and asked to act out the behaviors and attitudes commonly associated with the Baby Boomer, Gen X, Gen Y, and Gen Z generations, drawing from their own experiences, observations, and what they had heard about each group.

The activity sparked laughter and genuine reflection throughout the room. CEO Marycris Oplas shared her own insights on Gen Z in the workplace, offering candid advice to the younger generation on navigating their careers and finding their voice within the organization.

An Open Conversation with Leadership
Following the activities, the program moved into an interactive Q&A segment built around questions gathered beforehand through a staff survey. Ms. Oplas answered each question on the spot, while staff members were also given the floor to share their own ideas and perspectives.
