The month of May proved to be a dynamic and training-intensive period for the Accounting Services Team of Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs. Under the leadership of Chairman Donnies Alas, the team continued to roll out a series of branch training sessions that began in April at the AOC Quezon Province Branch. These initiatives were held in collaboration with Noel Geraldo, Partner for Outsourced Accounting, and Michelle Estrologo, Director for System Implementation.
On May 6–7, 2025, Chairman Donnies Alas, along with Partner Noel Geraldo and Director Michelle Estrologo, visited the AOC La Union Branch. The first day featured a strategic meeting with branch partners, followed by a full-day, hands-on training session on the Astrea Business Solutions Accounting System for the entire AOC La Union team. The group was warmly welcomed by Carl Martos, Partner-in-Charge of AOC La Union, and Partner Rexzon Balacano, reflecting the collaborative spirit that drives the firm’s commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
May 14, 2025 – AOC Legazpi Branch leans toward digital transformation by participating in an Astrea Business Solutions Accounting System Training online session. The training was aimed to enhance their knowledge, understanding, and use of the Astrea platform. This session presented continued efforts of the branch to streamline its accounting and bookkeeping processes through the adoption of this system.
The team set up a projector, allowing both employees and interns to join the session to maximize participation and learning. The training was led by Ms. Michelle Estrologo, Director for System Implementation. She effectively guided the team, walking through the essential features of the Astrea system. Her comprehensive explanation and demonstration helped the team gauge a better understanding of how the platform can be used for future transactions. Topics covered included transaction recording, journalizing, and preparation of financial reports such as vouchers and Trial Balance. The team gained valuable insights from the training session.
Looking ahead, AOC Legazpi intends to fully implement Astrea for the recording of transactions, preparation of Trial Balance, and outsource bookkeeping services. This will be a very useful tool for them. As AOC Legazpi embraces this transition, they remain committed to continuous learning and ensure the adoption of tools that will help deliver more accurate and efficient services to clients.
On May 22, 2025, the training sessions continued at the AOC Laguna office, where the AOC Rizal Province Branch also joined a joint session. The event featured comprehensive training on the Astrea Business Solutions Accounting System, along with a collaborative discussion on market development strategies.
