A Wave of Fun Under the Sun: HR/Payroll Team’s Unforgettable 3-Day Summer Getaway to Iloilo
After the final wave of the busy seasons, the Human Resource/Payroll Team took a break and went to a three-day summer vacation in Isla Gigantes, nestled in the province of Iloilo. The team traveled by air, departing from NAIA Terminal 2 and arriving at Iloilo International Airport early in the morning on April 30, 2024. After arriving in Iloilo, the team embarked on a six-hour journey, enjoying the province’s landscape and mesmerizing waters on their way to the majestic scenery of Isla Gigantes.
On the first day, the team explored the community riding a motorcycle. After a few hours of discovering, they arrived at their first destination, the mysterious Pawikan Cave. They hiked through the cave and were greeted by a huge entrance chamber and spectacular rock formations. Following the hike, the team visited the Asluman historical lighthouse and enjoyed the sandbars on Gigantes Norte.
They spend the second day island hopping and visited numerous beautiful tourist destinations, including the mini Boracay of Tinagong Dagat, the mesmerizing Bantigue Sandbar, and the Tangke Saltwater Lagoon. The team took memorable photos and enjoyed their time exploring the island’s landscapes and crystal-clear waters. They also savored a seafood lunch, one of the island’s specialties. Though it was a tiring day, it was definitely worth it.
On the last day of their awaited vacation, the team didn’t miss the chance to enjoy a city tour. They explored the historical cities of Iloilo including the Molo Church and Mansion. Of course, stop in a souvenir shop is must for a vacation like this. The team then concluded the trip and headed to Iloilo International Airport. Though the flight was delayed for six hours, it became an opportunity for the team that instead of being upset, the team used the time to share their experiences from the summer vacation, showcasing how they turn negative moments into positive ones.
In a nutshell, the team’s vacation in Iloilo was a resounding success. The trip not only provided a much-needed respite from their daily work routines but also strengthened team bonds through shared experiences and adventures. From exploring mysterious caves and historical lighthouses to enjoying the stunning landscapes and crystal-clear waters of the islands, every moment was filled with joy and camaraderie. The team returned to their duties refreshed and inspired, with memories that will last a lifetime. This vacation exemplified how taking time to unwind and connect can enhance both personal well-being and professional relationships, proving that sometimes, a break is exactly what’s needed to recharge and come back stronger.
