Special Mother’s Day Webinar for AOC Working Moms

May 13, 2024 – In celebration of Mother’s Day, Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs orchestrated a heartfelt webinar exclusively for the firm’s dedicated working moms. Titled ‘Celebrate Mother’s Day with AOC: Working Moms Finding Their Ikigai’, the event aimed to honor and empower the more than 40 working mothers within the organization.

Led by the remarkable Ms. Cris Lorenzana—an author, trainer, coach, and equally amazing mom—the webinar delved into the concept of ‘Finding Your Ikigai as a Working Mom’. Ikigai, roughly translated from Japanese as “the happiness of always being busy”, explored the unique purpose and passion within each mother’s life.

Organized by HR Managing Director, Jenny Cabello-Catapang—who is not only a mom but also regarded as the second mother of the firm—the webinar provided a nurturing space for working moms to reflect, connect, and grow.

Following the insightful discussion, some of AOC’s amazing moms courageously shared their personal experiences and challenges of balancing work and motherhood. Their stories fostered an atmosphere of support and camaraderie among colleagues, highlighting the strength and resilience of working mothers within the AOC family. To conclude the event, a surprise video presentation featured heartfelt messages from their husbands and loved ones to all the incredible AOC Amazing Moms.
