Eljohn is a Certified Public Accountant with nearly a decade of dedicated service at Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs (AOC). Since passing the CPA Board Exam in 2015, he has gained extensive experience and expertise in audit and tax services. He began his career as an Audit Associate in the Cavite office, where he spent six years honing his skills and advancing to the role of Manager. He then transitioned to the Tax Advisory and Compliance Services in the Makati Office, where he progressed from Manager to Partner in 2024.

In his audit role, Eljohn ensured the accuracy of clients’ financial statements through meticulous audit procedures. He worked with companies registered with the SEC, BIR, and PEZA, covering a range of industries including manufacturing, trading, leisure and entertainment, healthcare, and electric cooperatives. In his current role in Tax Services, he is responsible for preparing and reviewing BIR filings, ensuring tax compliance, managing BIR tax assessments, and overseeing services such as registrations, refunds, and ICPA engagements.

Eljohn is also a seasoned speaker, delivering presentations on audit methodology, accounting standards, PFRS for electric cooperatives, and tax updates, both in-house and for clients. He participated in the BKR Asia Pacific Future Leaders Program in Malaysia in 2023 and attended the 2024 BKR Asia Pacific Regional Conference.
