With over 20 years of extensive experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), the highly esteemed Carl has built a distinguished career in accounting, finance, project management, and taxation. His professional journey began while working full-time at a leading accounting firm in the Philippines while completing his college education. He later gained experience across various industries, holding roles as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Staff, Internal Auditor, and Accountant in the automotive, transportation, construction, and professional services sectors.
Carl also worked internationally as a Project Accountant in Qatar for a billion-dollar renewable energy project and later as a Lead Project Accountant in Saudi Arabia for a high-speed railway project. After years abroad, he returned home and established his own accounting firm in San Juan, La Union, serving the community for over eight years. In 2022, he also joined Union Christian College as a part-time professor.
In November 2024, Carl proudly joined Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs as Partner-in-Charge of the La Union Branch, emerging as one of the branch’s pioneering and visionary partners. A dynamic and dedicated leader, Carl meticulously oversees the branch operations, ensuring the seamless and impeccable delivery of top-tier accounting, audit, tax, and advisory services to clients in La Union and nearby provinces and regions. His strong dedication has been instrumental in significantly expanding AOC’s presence and reinforcing its steadfast commitment to excellence throughout the Northern Philippines.
Carl is an active and influential member of Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). He served as President of the PICPA La Union Chapter for FY 2021-2022. He was awarded as an outstanding PICPA President for FY 2021-2022 during the 77th PICPA Annual Convention held in Cebu City, Philippines and Director’s Award on 27th January 2023 at Auditorium, Lingayen Pangasinan in the PICPA Northern Luzon Region.
