AOC Legazpi Attends 2025 Annual Income Tax Return Seminar

March 26, 2026 — Strengthening its commitment to excellence, AOC Legazpi’s Partner-In-Charge Nathalie Lupango, Associate Auditor Leojelaine Igcoy and Intern Eula Selencio participated in a seminar on the filing and payment of the 2025 Annual Income Tax Returns (AITR) and recent tax updates held at the Casablanca Convention Hall.

The afternoon session gathered practitioners and stakeholders from Revenue District Office (RDO) No. 067, serving as a critical briefing for the Bicolano professional community ahead of the April 15 deadline. The program centered on the practical implications of the Ease of Paying Taxes (EOPT) Act, focusing on the refined classification of taxpayers and the evolving digital landscape of Philippine taxation.

During the technical presentations, speakers detailed the shift toward a more nuanced taxpayer categorization, outlining the specific criteria for micro, small, medium, and large taxpayers. The seminar also provided a deep dive into the utilization of electronic platforms like e-BIR and eFPS, emphasizing the Bureau’s push for a streamlined, technology-driven filing process for the 2025 taxable year.

The session also highlighted the introduction of BIR Form No. 1701-MS as a simplified, two-page return specifically designed for individual taxpayers classified as micro and small under the EOPT Act.

By staying ahead of these technical nuances, AOC Legazpi ensures that its clients are not only compliant with the latest laws but are also guided through the practical challenges of this transitional period with professional ease and confidence.
