March 4, 2026 – Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs marked the month of March with a meaningful pause through its monthly breaktime. The activity highlighted the strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions of women within the organization and beyond. It encouraged employees to recognize the impact of women in their lives and workplace, while fostering a culture of appreciation, respect, and empowerment. In a simple yet purposeful virtual space, participants were reminded that progress is driven by inclusivity and that empowering women paves the way for a stronger, more inspired community.
To begin the day, a Holy Mass was celebrated by Reverend Father Ogie Orpiada. In his reflection, he emphasized that true communication starts within the heart and is expressed through our connection with others. He highlighted that the highest form of communication is a life rooted in prayerFollowing this, Mr. Marvin Cadapan extended a warm and gracious welcome to all attendees, offering heartfelt greetings to the employees. As part of the monthly program, the event included the introduction of new hires, the celebration of March Birthday and the recognition of employees reaching significant milestones to AOC.
In this edition of #AOCWinStories, we feature a special segment in celebration of Women’s Month, highlighting the wisdom and leadership of our very own CEO and Founding Partner. In her message, she emphasized the vital role of women in leadership, recognizing their strengths in innovation, collaboration, and inclusive decision-making. She encouraged women to continuously develop their potential, embrace change, and lead with purpose, while also valuing balance and well-being as part of effective leadership.
The highlight of the Breaktime was the session led by Ms. Ces Apad Ogier, Founder and Executive Coach of BiggerBetterMe Coaching, who served as a guest speaker for the AOC Executive Presence Workshop. She shared her valuable insights during the session, emphasizing the importance of strategic appearance in building confidence, credibility, and professional influence. She highlighted that being polished and intentional in both appearance and communication helps create strong first impressions, enhances presence, and supports career growth through strategic visibility. She also conducted a makeup tutorial, providing practical tips on personal grooming and presentation to further reinforce the importance of maintaining a professional and confident appearance.
To conclude the Breaktime, HR Rogielyn Barroga facilitated a fun activity titled “Caption This: Girls Be Like Edition,” bringing an enjoyable and engaging end to the session.
On March 8, in celebration of International Women’s Day, the team prepared a surprise for CEO Marycris Oplas during the #AOCWinStories. Employees shared special messages for her, which were printed and presented together with flowers as a token of appreciation.
