AOC Cabanatuan Welcomes New Interns and Sends Off Graduating OJTs

July 11, 2025 – The AOC Cabanatuan team organized a luncheon at Yakimix Restaurant to welcome three new On-the-Job Trainees (OJTs) from Dr. Gloria D. Lacson Foundation Colleges, Inc. – Cabanatuan City (DGDLFCI) and to send off two interns from Wesleyan University Philippines (WUP) who recently completed their training.

The team warmly welcomed Jem Rose Plaza, Janine Javier, and Pia Jennica Portos, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy students from DGDLFCI, who began their 200-hour internship on July 1. At the same time, they bid a heartfelt farewell to Christian James Pablo and Mark Ian Jonard Canlas, fellow Accountancy students from WUP, who successfully completed their 300-hour internship that began on May 19. The luncheon also served as a meaningful opportunity for bonding—allowing the interns and team members to connect, share experiences, and celebrate both new beginnings and successful completions.

“Our internship at Alas Oplas & Co. CPAs Cabanatuan Branch is something we’ll always remember. It wasn’t just about completing a school requirement. It gave us a clear look at what real work in the profession feels like… We learned so many things during our internship that we never would have experienced in a classroom… If I had to choose again where to take my internship, I would still choose AOC.” – Mark Ian Jonard Canlas

Being a part of the company, even for a short while, has been a rewarding experience for me… I’ve gained a great deal of knowledge regarding audit processes and the importance of professionalism and teamwork… This experience has made a big impact on me and helped me become more prepared and confident for what’s ahead in my career.” -Christian James Pablo.

The AOC Cabanatuan team remains committed to shaping future professionals through real-world experience while building meaningful connections. They look forward to guiding the new batch of interns and celebrating the growth of those who have completed their journey.
