On March 6, 2024, AOC Breaktime for the month of March celebrated International Women’s Month with an inspiring webinar led by Cris Lorenzana titled ‘Emerging Women.’ The event was attended by employees from all branches nationwide and was held at the beginning of the month to boost morale and encourage everyone to be their best selves.
The breaktime event began with a meaningful and encouraging mass officiated by Father Ogie Orpiada to celebrate the 3rd week of Lent. Following the mass, Aijah Melicha Rosales, the event moderator, welcomed all the employees and staff in attendance, marking the start of the breaktime celebration that featured “I Am Strong,” celebrating the strong women. At the 3rd Breaktime celebration of the year, AOC warmly welcomed newly hired staff members, thus expanding their ever-growing family. This event also served as a platform to recognize the work anniversaries of staff members who served in the month of March and the celebrants’ birthdays. Furthermore, it presented an opportunity to commend the hard work and dedication of the long-standing employees who have made substantial contributions to the growth and success of AOC over the years.
As part of AOC’s ongoing commitment to amplify and promote sustainability, the eco-social warriors Iloilo Branch presented this month’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) series led by AOC Iloilo Branch Partner Tina Estorque. The series discusses building a sustainable world, which is in line with the company’s values and principles of creating a better world for future generations.
During the recent event, attendees had the opportunity to be inspired by Cris Lorenzana, who led a captivating webinar in celebration of International Women’s Day.
The event’s highlight was the Emerging Women webinar, which aimed to empower women to pursue success and growth. Cris Lorenzana’s words were particularly poignant as she shared her message of resilience, telling women that they are not built to break, even in moments of vulnerability. One notable mention was her appreciation for the HR department at Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs, which she credited for keeping everyone happy, engaged, and productive. Overall, the webinar was a great success, leaving attendees feeling motivated and empowered to continue pursuing their dreams.
As the Breaktime event ended, Cris encouraged attendees to remember to celebrate the strong women they are and learn to love themselves even better. Self-love equals Inner Strength. This message resonated with all attendees and left them feeling empowered and inspired. Indeed, Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs is committed to creating a positive and empowering work environment for all its employees and staff. By celebrating International Women’s Day with an inspiring webinar and promoting sustainability through its ESG series, the company shows its dedication to creating a better world for all.
