Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs had a productive month in October 2023, conducting three free webinars and concluding their three-part Firm-Wide Webinar on September 30, 2023.

On September 30, 2023, the firm-wide webinar series, Alas Oplas hosted a comprehensive webinar on “Financial Reporting Bulletins.” The webinar provided valuable insights and knowledge on the latest trends and best practices in final reporting bulletins. The session was presented by Lian Seth Santos, Manager for Technical at AOC Cavite Branch, who is an expert in this field. The virtual seminar received a remarkable response from participants across various firm branches who attended via MS Teams. The significant engagement and enthusiasm were indeed encouraging.

On October 12, 2023, Alas Oplas conducted a free webinar on Taxation on Banks, featuring Tax Advisory and Compliance Services expert Fernando O. Santos, a partner at the firm. The webinar offered an in-depth understanding of bank taxation concepts, including guidance on computation, filing, and payment, as well as documentation and administrative requirements, with more than 310 participants from different banks and industries.

On October 13, 2023, another free webinar discussed Taxation on Cooperative. It featured distinguished speakers Angelo Honor and Pauline Galsa from Alas Oplas Tax Advisory and Compliance Services, with over 250 in attendance from different Cooperatives.

Finally, on October 27, 2023, Alas Oplas conducted an informative webinar on Cybersecurity Awareness: Protecting Your Personal and Business Data in the Digital World featuring the expert presenter on the field, Mr. Macaraeg. The webinar highlighted the increasing importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital landscape. It provided essential strategies to secure personal and business data against cyber threats, with over 210 participants from different industries attending it.
