A Certified Public Accountant, Meg is a Partner of Alas Oplas & Co., CPAs.
Meg began her professional journey as an internal auditor at a rural bank in Bulacan, where she gained two years of valuable experience. In 2014, she joined Alas Oplas & Co. CPAs as a Junior Accountant and has since risen to the position of Partner, Accounting Services. With almost a decade of dedicated service, Meg has developed a deep understanding of accounting and tax advisory services.
In addition to her role at the firm, Meg is responsible for managing the offshore outsourced engagement with Walker Wayland in Sydney, Australia. This opportunity provided her with valuable experience in Self-Managed Superannuation Fund accounting using CLASS software. Recently, she has expanded her portfolio by taking on outsourced accounting work from Lindquist Von Husen & Joyce LLP, Certified Public Accountants.
Meg is proficient in various accounting software, including Quickbooks, Astrea, and Yardi. She has been a certified Xero advisor since 2019, showcasing her expertise in this platform. Despite her demanding career, Meg has also pursued her passion for education. From 2015 to 2017, she worked part-time as a college instructor at a leading university in Bulacan, where she shared her knowledge and experiences in accountancy and tax.
Meg’s commitment to professional growth is evident in her active participation in conferences and seminars, both locally and internationally. Notably, she attended the 2023 BKR Asia Pacific Conference, where she expanded her knowledge and network within the industry. Meg’s diverse experiences and continuous pursuit of knowledge contribute to her success as a Partner at Alas Oplas & Co. CPAs, enabling her to provide exceptional accounting and tax advisory services to clients.
